GM 🎞️ Moments of the Unknown. 339 March 11th at 10:06 in New York, New York
Have you ever been a tourist in your home city? Try it! You may end up discovering something new. The joy of riding a ferry at the break of dawn. Visiting a statue you've always seen but never been to. How close you can get to the giants in the sky. Holding up the torch of freedom, of Liberty you can see as high you can be past the New York City skyline from Wall st to the Upper West Side. A copper woman faded to green, facing the masculine city as its almighty protector as we have seen in Ghostbusters 2 when she comes to life through slime and walks under water to save you. With her light she ignites the spirit of New Yorkers, and all those who come pay a visit; Day and Night. To be a part of this living organism, where humans are the blood cells to our beloved New York City, the "big apple." Tossed into the melting pot of a cultural stew. All walks of life on this tiny island that's hundreds of years old. The piers and ports built this humble city with global trade routes and mason stones. All it took was nearly 3 miles wide and 13 miles long to become the financial capital of the world! In 1886, our allies, our friends, the French gave us this gift in celebration of American independence. An artwork to gesture for World Peace, a sculpture by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. Lady liberty what does shea mean? Our leading lady; the matriarch. Greeting the sunrise, every morning. Lighting her flame with the golden sun rays, our eyes glowing. We follow the women to freedom. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
