The TGE of Backpack is the beginning of accelerated operations. After listening to the 3-hour AMA by the patient version of @armaniferrante last night, I found the feeling of preparing for the TOEFL exam 🤣 Here are a few points that I think are worth noting: 1/ It is no longer possible to earn points; the TGE is likely to occur around March 23, with specific details to wait for the announcement. 2/ In the coming week, the team will showcase staking/unstaking, the token page, documentation, and other related items. 3/ Continuous staking for a full year will yield 20% equity, including the logic of IPO token offerings, but it’s not just about giving a little fee discount or adding a few utilities; it’s about long-term users, long-term holding, and the long-term growth of the platform. 4/ Stocks will be one of the most important strategic directions for Backpack moving forward. It’s not just about creating a stock concept but rather trying to align with real securities rights, real market liquidity, and real traditional financial integration. Stocks will also be included in the entire unified margin system. 5/ Prediction markets will also be a key product to be quickly advanced after the TGE. As usual, it will be integrated into the entire system of spot trading, lending, perpetual contracts, and margin trading. It’s quite charming, like first laying the foundation and then connecting everything one by one. Even if it seems a bit slow and heavy, once it’s all connected, the imaginative space will be very different. 6/ BP cards, demand accounts, savings accounts, etc., were also mentioned in the AMA; physical cards are already in internal testing, and NFC payments are also being advanced. What we want to create is fundamentally not just an exchange. What we want to create is something that gradually integrates crypto, stocks, payments, and banking together. 8/ Expansion into the U.S., Japan, Europe, and the global landscape.
