ACP is evolving.
USDC will be the default transaction currency. A protocol upgrade to make agent-to-agent commerce faster, cleaner, and built for scale.
Product decison - we simply want to make things easier for builders and butler agent users, especially as we start to work on use cases involving the transfer of funds, which are often natively done via USDC.
Why switch to USDC?
For devs:
- Simpler developer integration, for transfer funds use cases
For butler users
- Less slippage for use cases like trading
- More user-friendly and less mental load with a more commonly used currency
