We are preparing to launch FAssets v1.2 on Songbird next week. This launch is part of our multi-layered security process. We've completed the @zellic_io audit and have high confidence in the code's robustness based on internal reviews. The final Zellic audit report is forthcoming. To facilitate this launch, a scheduled system upgrade is required on Wednesday, August 20th. The FAssets system will be paused for up to 8 hours, starting in the morning UTC. During this time, minting and redemption of FAssets will be temporarily unavailable. Once the upgrade is complete, FAssets v1.2 will be live on Songbird. No action is required from collateral providers, token holders and any users. We will notify you once the upgrade is completed and FXRP v1.2 is fully functional on Songbird. An audit report on FXRP v1.2 prepared by Zellic is forthcoming. All identified issues have already been resolved. Preparations are now underway for the next phase: a public Code4rena audit competition. The competition, detailed at , will proceed in two stages — a submission phase followed by a reporting phase. FXRP v1.2 will be launched on Songbird and run concurrently with the submission phase of the code4rena audit. Once the Code4rena submission phase concludes, and provided all findings are addressed with no major bugs remaining, FXRP v1.2  can move to Flare mainnet. It is important to note that whilst Code4rena does not determine the launch date; it provides additional, independent assurance of code readiness. Institutional demand for FAssets, from organisations already working with Flare such as @UpholdInc , @Vivo_Power, and others, is strong. However, launch will only proceed if the competition confirms the code’s security and robustness. Security first, always.
