Meta is now hiring at a billion-dollar level. First, Matt Deitke turned down a $125 million offer for 4 years, then was secured by Zuckerberg for $250 million over 4 years; then Andrew Tulloch rejected a $1.5 billion offer from Meta for 6 years. Meta is now disregarding costs to recruit AI talent. From another perspective, does this symbolize a bubble? Also, I really don't envy these high salaries; I realized early on that the gap in intelligence between people is even larger than that between people and dogs.
